Hi! I’m Jacob,

         What's up! I am from San Ramon, California which is a smaller city in the San Francisco Bay Area. I spent the first 18 years of my life there all throughout K-12. I then moved down South to come to school at the University of San Diego where today I am a Senior majoring in Accountancy.  

 

         Upon graduation I will be working at Deloitte, a professional services firm in San Francisco, CA as an Audit & Assurance Associate. I will be working in the Audit industry and gaining experience working as a public accountant. Soon after graduation before starting full time I will start studying to obtain my CPA license. After passing these four exams I will be able to move up the ranks of associate to senior associate to Manager and so on. Having this experience will open the door for many opportunities down the road.                                                                                                                                                                                        I can choose to become an internal auditor at a big fortune 500 company like Salesforce or Microsoft and take what I will have learned from the public accounting space. I could even switch to another industry like Finance if it interests me at the time. Having an accounting background will always be an asset because it encompasses some aspects of every industry in business. If I had to say right now where I see myself in 5 years, I would say that I will stick to the public accounting space and work my way up to being an audit partner at a big 4 accounting firm like Deloitte.
